Tis the Turban Season

DSCN1074

This really doesn’t have ~that much to do with Christmas, but you guys? I literally CANNOT stop thinking about it. And crying about it. And singing about it. Is this just what it is to be a mom during the holidays? On Friday I pushed Reese down the aisle of lit fake trees in Walmart and she was mesmerized and I STARTED TO CRY LIKE A REAL PSYCHOPATH. What is wrong with me.

What I’m really trying to say here is I have already started buying Christmas presents (including headbands) and wrapping paper, and I’m trying REALLLLL hard to not put up all my decorations. I don’t really know why though? I don’t have beef with putting them up before Thanksgiving. They’ll probably be up by Friday. Stay tuned.

Back to turbans. You already know I’m super into baby headbands – here’s why you should be too: They’re the best. Put a (normal sized) headband on a little baby and BAM. Instant 30% increase in cuteness. If your baby has a huge and bald head – ask your baby stylist (me) if turbans are right for you. They are.

And I know this sounds weird to say, but I actually like them even more now that it’s getting cold. I have beanies for her that are little animal faces and so so cute, but she pulls them off and they get jostled around. These turbans are thick enough that I actually pull them down over Reese’s ears whenever we leave the house as just a little extra bit of cold protection, and she doesn’t tug at them at all.

Now I LOVE the dainty bows and ties on nylon. They are cute and you need them. But Reese just looks especially cute in turbans and very few reputable shops make them. Every Little Thread is my new fave – not just because they’re awesome girls and friends with my husband, although that *IS* how I found them – but their headbands and turbans are SO SOFT. I’m serious. You have to feel these suckers. They don’t pinch or leave indents, even on Reese’s giant head. They’re stretchy and really well made.

And they are so cute. I love that their prints and fabrics are simple and modern. No mustache or butterfly prints to be seen. Every single item in their shop is adorable on a baby, little girl, or adult. Not everything needs to be bubblegum pink or bedazzled, ya feel? I hope you can get an idea of how rich the textures are just from my crappy photos because I LOVE the texture of each one.

Do yourself a favor and check them out. This is a great stocking stuffer for the little ladies in your life, since we are approaching the holiday season. I’m eyeing the bright green turban for Reese’s stocking myself.
